These are the papers of Madeleine Wing Adler, the first female president of West Chester University, who served from 1992 to 2007.
Biographical / Historical
Dr. Madeleine Wing Adler was the first female president of West Chester. She received a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Prior to her West Chester University presidency, she held administrative positions at Framingham State College in Massachusetts, The City University of New York, Queens College, and the CUNY Central Office. Dr. Adler also has taught at American University and Pennsylvania State University.
After leaving West Chester, Adler went on to work as a senior associate at the AASCU-Penson Center for Professional Development.
