The West Chester University Graduate School and Continuing Education Collection is divided into 4 series: Correspondence, Departmental Materials, Publications, and Community School.

Series 4 Community School includes reports on the Community School Health Education workshop and documents and promotional materials related to the Community Music School.

The collection consists of interdepartmental correspondence, departmental materials such as course offerings and brochures, publications, and documents related to the community school. Materials range in date from 1956 to 1999.

Biographical / Historical

Established in the 1950s, the West Chester University (WCU) Graduate School has grown to include over 80 graduate, doctoral, and certification programs.

Masters programs feature graduate programs across WCU's colleges, offering graduate degrees in the fields of Music, Education, Psychology, Nursing, and more. Doctoral programs include Clinical Psychology, Eucation in Policy, Planning, and Administration, Public Administration, and Nursing Practice. Certification programs provide specialty certifates in a variety of fields.

The Graduate School is located in McKelvie Hall. In addition to numerous resources across WCU campuses (West Chester and Philadelphia), graduate students may join the Graduate Student Association (GSA) or have the opportunity to get a Graduate Assistantship (GA) in their field of study. GSA provides educational, professinal, and social events and advocates for graduate students.
