The West Chester University Department of Art and Design Collection is divided into five series: Artwork, Departmental Materials, Events, Exhibitions, and Publications.
Series 1 Artwork features printed bookplates for West Chester State Normal School and art prints from 16 students.
Series 2 Departmental Materials includes correspondence, as well as information about departmental course offerings and for prospective students.
Series 3 Events has flyers for various artistic events on and off campus.
Series 4 Exhibitions includes artist statements and information, brochures, flyers, invitations, and schedules for exhibitions featuring West Chester University students and faculty, primarily held in campus galleries and spaces. Some exhibitions include the annual senior exhibition and faculty showcases. There are also similar materials for non-WCU artists, who had exhibitions on campus.
Series 5 Publications contains 3 publications: Eight Russian-American Artists (1983), Forum Graphica (1984), and a 1969 biography about author and artist, Franz Kafka.
