S. Elizabeth Tyson (1896-1991) was an assistant English professor at West Chester State Normal School, the West Chester State Teachers College (name changed in 1927), and West Chester State College (name again changed in 1960) from 1922-1962 and developed one of the first speech clinics in the United States. This collection includes materials that relate to Tyson's interest in theatre, including costume and makeup ideas, examples of sets, notes, guidelines, and other miscellaneous items.

Over the past 150 years, West Chester University has hosted a variety of social and political events from celebrations to conferences to workshops, and more. This collection gathers flyers and documents from these events, ranging from West Chester Normal School to West Chester University as we know it today. This collection offers a portrait of this school and its past students and faculty.

The West Chester University Department of Health and Physical Education trains educators and promotes lifetime physical activity, fitness, and health through its undergraduate and graduate degrees, programs, and curriculum. The West Chester University Department of Health and Physical Education Collection includes correspondence, departmental and course materials, events, promotional materials, and publications, as well as artifacts and ephemera.

The West Chester University New Student Orientation Collection is comprised of brochures, newsletters, handbooks, and correspondence related to West Chester University's New Student Orientation program for first year and transfer students. New Student Orientation is one of the programs developed by the university's Office of New Student Programs. Materials in this collection range in date from 1937 to 2007, but a majority of the materials date between 1973 to 1994.

West Chester University's Strategic Plan collection includes planning documents, outlines and implementation plans designed to complete appointed strategic plan goals for WCU.  This collection contains plans, summaries, evaluations, and other reports related to the Strategic Plan documents from 1985 to present.

Chronological.

The West Chester University Twardowski Career Development Center Collection features programs, newsletters, promotional materials, annual reports, surveys, and placement data. All collection materials are from the Placement Services Center, a previous iteration of the Twardowski Career Development Center, on campus. Materials range in date from 1952-1975.

The West Chester University Valkyrie Club Collection includes memorabilia and photographs from the Valkyrie Club, a service learning club comprised of Health and Physical Education students. Materials range in date from 1928 to 2012, with the majority being from 1928-1973.

The West Chester University Wayne Hall Follies Collection features event programs, show tickets, theatatrical scene scripts, and sheet music from the Wayne Hall Follies, a musical theater group formed by and comprised of members of the Varsity Club. The Varsity Club was an organization of men who had earned a varsity letter in sports, such as football, soccer, basketball, baseball, track, or tennis. Materials in this collection range in date form 1940 to 1951.

The West Chester University Women’s Government and Dormitory Council Collection features correspondence, event materials, meeting minutes, and policies and procedures related to the Women's Government and the Women's Dormitory Council. Materials range in date from 1946-1970.
