Elmer E. Unger (1889-1991) was a physical education instructor at Passaic High School, NJ, 1915-1919, Ocean City High School, NJ, 1919-1927, Ardmore Junior High School, PA,1928-1943, and Long Branch Junior High School, NJ, from 1944 until his retirement in 1946. After retiring, Unger went on to be a beach exercise leader in Ocean City, New Jersey. Elmer E. Unger married Elizabeth Unger around 1912 and they had three children: a son, Ayres Unger and two daughters, Helen and Josephine Unger. Josephine went on to become a librarian at West Chester State Teachers College.

Abstract
Elmer E. Unger (1889-1991) was a physical education instructor in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas from 1915-1946. One of his daughters, Josephine Unger, was a librarian at West Chester State Teachers College. This collection includes materials Unger used throughout his career, including course guidelines, notes, and various exercises implemented in his curriculum.
