The West Chester University Facilities Division Collection is divided into two series: Building Inventory and Analysis and Departmental Materials.
Series 1 Building Inventory and Analysis features room and building inventories and analyses of spaces, functions, and organizational units from the 1960s to early 1970s. This includes individual inventories and analyses of buildings at the West Chester campus.
Series 2 Departmental Materials includes Facilities correspondence, informational booklets, a heating plan, and various reports and updates.

Overview
The West Chester University Facilities Division Collection contains materials related to the work of the Facilities Division at the university. Materials include campus room and building inventories, as well as correspondence, reports, and other administrative materials. Items range in date from 1887 to 1999, with the bulk of items being from the 1960s to late 1970s.
Biographical / Historical
West Chester University's Facilities Division helps design, construct, and take care of all buildings on campus, as well as provides various services for students, staff, and faculty. The work of the Facilities Division can be divided into 3 specific areas: Building Management, Project Management, Design, and Construction, and Facilities Campus Services.
Building Management includes carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, plumbing, and maintenance shops. The Project Management Office establishes best practices and project management guidelines and serves as a hub for project documentation and metrics for the division. It also includes the Design and Construction team, who collaborates with university senior management and stakeholders to define project scopes and schedules and manage and complete design and construction projects. Facilities Campus Services oversees all custodial operations, grounds maintenance, environmental health and safety concerns, the shuttle bus, motor pool, and facilities finances. These work of the Facilities Division helps to make West Chester University a more safe and sustainable place.
